As a long time user of labs series for men, I was recently forced to find a new product
for my sensitive skin, due to Lab Series removing the benzocaine from their Maximum Comfort Shaving Cream. Your product has been my savior! Not only do I experience a comfortable shave, but my skin feels smoother and softer. THANKS for being there.
Have been looking for a replacement to the Lab Series shaving cream with benzocaine as well. After trying several, I am sticking with this one. The texture is great, save for the slightly grainy bits. It is thick enough to allow the same small amount of use. It allows for a very smooth and very comfortable shave. I have found my replacement.
Much like the men who have also rated this product I was a devoted consumer of Lab Series shave cream with benzocaine for over 20 years. For an unknown reason Lab Series took the “active ingredient” out of their new formula and for all of us who used the product faithfully for years this made the product far inferior to the original. The Face Skin Care Shave Cream is a wonderful replacement, I am so glad I have found this…you have a customer now for life!

Skin Care by Face’s Ultimate Comfort Shave Cream gave me the smoothest shave ever. My legs are super sensitive, but when I use this shaving cream I don’t get razor burn or irritation. I also noticed being able to get a better glide with no nicks or cuts!
I have always been prone to razor burn, Face Skin Care Ultimate Comfort Shave Cream is the only product I have ever tried that completely prevents razor burn on me. My brother has the same problem with razor burn, I told him to try it and it worked for him too. Best shaving cream ever!

After using Lab Series Shave cream for many years, I was disappointed when they changed the formula. It became an expensive generic cream. I looked around and found Face Skin Care. It gives me the same shave that I had with the old Lab Series. Smooth, clean and makes my face feel refreshed.
Ultimate Comfort Shave Cream by Face Skin Care is a real winner. If you liked the old Lab Series formulation the you are going to LOVE this because it doesn’t clog the razor and it offers a smooth shave like nothing on the market. Highly recommended.
Having been upset that Lab Series took benzocaine out of its formula and thus produced an inferior product have been looking for an alternative and finally found one in Face Skin Care Ultimate Shave Cream. It is actually better than Lab Series was with benzocaine because it is thicker and creamier and leaves your face with a very close smooth shave. Good by Lab Series hello Face Ski Care.
Have always settled with a mainstream Nivea or Aveeno Sensitive skin shaving cream until I started doing a little research and this way highly appraised and the sample was offered. If you spend 20 seconds massaging this onto your beard, I have been getting way closer shaves with no irritation. I had always accepted the fact that the bumps were something I would have to live with. But have shaved 4-5 times with this now and it’s amazing. Skin is very soft and the shave is close. Great product, thank you!
I had been using Lab Series exclusively for close to 30 years, and had been desperately searching for a replacement, ever since they have butchered the product! Hooray…. I have finally found it in Face Skin Care Ultimate Shave Cream! This product leaves my face feeling better than that old stuff, and the Lidocaine works great! After using your Face Shaving Cream, I can only offer one word.. WOW! I’ve been dealing with the harsh realities of blade shaving for years and have tried nearly every shaving cream and/or gel on the market and none were much better than the others. But after a friend recommended your product I thought I would give it a reply. At first I was cautious because of the cost but your list of positive comments gave me the confidence to give it a try. After shaving with your product for several days, I can only say that the price is CHEAP relative to the results. It also takes very little to do the job so all in all, my guess is that the price is very comparable to the others I’ve used but with SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER results! Thanks very much for bringing such a great product to market!
Face Skin Care is the real deal. No more razor burn, ingrown hairs and for the first time in years I can actually shave every day. I only wish that they would come out with an after shave balm. This sounds like a fake commercial but I have tried everything from gels to foams to creams and nothing works like this.
After seeing this product on a “Best of 2013 Shave Products” list I decided to try it and I was most definitely impressed. I had read other reviews about the numbing ingredient in it and I never realized how much of a difference it really would make. It is by far the BEST shave I have ever experienced and this is coming from someone with super sensitive skin and a really thick coarse beard. I still get the occasional bump or ingrown hair here and there but nothing compared to what I use to get before this. Face Skin Care Ultimate Shave Cream will be the only shave cream I used from here on out!

I have tried all kinds of creams for sensative skin and this is the best one yet. It is not thick and heavy yet leaves my face smooth. Come out of the razor easily and does not clog up the multi-blade units. It did such a great job I ordered 4 more just to make sure I don’t run out!
I’m very glad that i found this product I was using a shaving cream by Lab Series but they came out with a new formula that didn’t contain benzocaine which i found really makes the shaving process less painful to sensitive skin after doing some goggling

with my sensitive and now shaving isn’t something i dread to do ! No more razor bumps and no more ingrown hairs so thank you guys for making shaving so much easier .
I was looking for a new option after using Kiehls for some time. I read about this product in a blog and gave it a go. I was vey impressed by the closeness of my first shave. I am looking forward to using this again. 5 stars.
Works pretty well. I have always had sensitive skin. It has gotten worse as I have turned older — to the point that I can only shave 2-3 times a week.
Mentally, it takes some getting used to. It does not foam up like other gels. But works just the same. There is a slight tingle when applied. And NO razor rash when I am done. ( I do use a moisturizer every day as well).
A little pricey — but good stuff!
I was looking for a substitute to lab series so I am very happy to find Face Skin Cares, it is a very good solution for me, I definitely will continue using it.
I too like Woodphantom used to use LAB until they took out the pain reliever. I was not able to properly shave until i found FACE and i can tell you that it works just the same. There is only 1 small issue i have with FACE is thickness. LAB went on like putty and stayed on, where as FACE goes on very thin but that does not compromise its effectiveness to relieve pain from shaving.

i noticed in lab series in my recent shaves. i was looking for an alternative and found one! smooth face and no irritation. the only problem i found was that it was a bit hard to squeeze out the product. maybe a jar with a lid would work better. thanks.

Thanks for the feedback, we agree with your tube comment, which is why we are working to develop a new, softer, easier to dispense tube. We will begin working on the jar following the introduction of the new tube. We started with the tube in order to allow our customers to be able to carry Face Ultimate Comfort Shave Cream on the plane for those that travel. We are happy that we were abLe to meet your shaving needs.

I have tried them all! That is, every shaving cream or gel……This is by far the best product for my face that i have ever used…..however, to maximize the quality and ability of this product to work…….You must shave every other day…..a man’s beard must be groomed every other day because nothing will prevent ingrown hairs like a good product and a decent razor other than the natural process of shaving and exfoliating….U cant be a Caveman….. have to shave or you will get ingrown hairs….
Since Lab Series changed the formula for their “maximum comfort shave cream” and eliminated the benzocaine ingredient, this is the best I’ve found. The inclusion of lidocaine provides some of the comfort/protection that the Lab Series product provided, but the overall effect is not quite as good.
There are 2 drawbacks.
One, the tube the product comes in is nasty. It is thick plastic that cannot be squeezed effectively to get the cream out of the tube. The last 1/3 of the amount has to be removed by unscrewing the top and getting gravity and careful shaking to cause some to come out (but frequently too much comes out and the next several minutes are consumed by trying to get the stuff back in the tube – while you are waiting to shave!).
Two, they should offer a tub-sized (8 oz.) version (which would eliminate the above drawback)

Thank you for the feedback, we are addressing your tube concern by introducing a more customer and environmentally friend tube that will eliminate wasted product and make it easier to get the product out of the tube. Our new tube is softer with significantly less plastic. Expect to see the new tube introduced in early May.
As for the tub we are currently developing the 8 oz tub and expect to introduce it in late 2013.

Like many of the customers who have also rated this product, I used Lab Series shave cream with benzocaine for years. Since Lab Series changed their formula, I gave Face Skin Care Shave Cream a try. The Face Skin Care Shave Cream is a terrific replacement. So happy I have found this! Changing the packaging to a jar would make it even better!
